Most crystal singing bowls you’ll see are in the 4th Octave: clear, bright, and resonant. The 3rd Octave bowls are larger and carry a deeper, more grounding tone that you can feel in your body like a soft vibration through the earth.
It really comes down to personal preference: some people are drawn to the airy clarity of 4th Octave bowls, while others love the spacious depth of 3rd Octave. Many sound artists (like me!) enjoy weaving them together to create a dynamic range of tones.
(Example: listen to our luminous Sea Glass F bowl in the 4th Octave in comparison to the mystical Avalon Mist F bowl in the 3rd Octave: both heart-centered, but with very different personalities.)
The size of your bowl depends on the note. Generally, the bowls are larger starting at the root (C note) and become slightly smaller working their way up toward the crown (B note).
4th Octave bowls: generally 5”–8”
3rd Octave bowls: generally 7”–9”
Larger bowls tend to carry deeper tones, while smaller bowls sing at higher pitches, however, don’t be fooled by their size! DreamTone Bowls all carry a smooth, full-bodied sound. Watch our videos to hear how beautifully they compliment one another.
Because each DreamTone bowl is handcrafted with care, delivery typically takes 3–6 weeks worldwide.

Each DreamTone bowl begins as an inspired vision and comes to life through a beautiful collaboration with a family-run artisan studio in Hong Kong. This small, multigenerational workshop has been working with crystal for decades, passing down skill and reverence for the craft through the family line.
Every bowl is carefully formed by hand, with its own subtle character in tone and color: no two are ever alike. These natural variations are what make each piece so special, carrying its own presence and energy.
Your bowls are shipped worldwide directly from the studio in Hong Kong. Because each one is made to order with such care, all sales are final, and returns cannot be accepted. Rest assured, every bowl is packaged securely and fully insured for its journey to you.
Please allow approximately 3–6 weeks for your bowls to arrive, as each one is crafted with care and shipped directly from our family-run studio in Hong Kong.
Depending on your country, additional customs duties or import fees may apply. We do our best to keep these costs minimal, but by purchasing a bowl you agree to pay any applicable fees required by your local customs office.
